Dear Fellow Lucyfans,

Update:Lucy-Desi Collectibles on E-Bay!

As we mentioned last time, Lucie Arnaz has decided to share some of the personal items that she kept after her parents passed away, and will be offering them to fans via auction on E-Bay! Included are everything from personally-notated scripts ("Here's Lucy," etc.) to personal wardrobe items (Lucy's furs) to jewlery boxes, photos, etc.

Lucie has even prepared a special on-line video that explains the whole thing. The auction items started to appear last Sunday, and they end beginning this Sunday -- but the sale is on-going, so be sure to check out the listings. Once again, here's the link:

"Lucy Day at the Hollywood Museum"

The Hollywood Museum is hosting a special "Lucy Day" celebration on Saturday, November 12, 2011. Included is a special panel discussion, featuring such Lucy-related celebrities as actress Carole Cook, actor Barry Livingston, former child performers Jimmy Garrett and Eric Shea, "I Love Lucy" writer Bob Schiller, Lucy's "major domo" Frank Gorey, "I Love Lucy" editor Dann Cahn, and many others...

The museum will also offer a "vendor area" in which visitors can purchase Lucy-related memorabilia and merchandise. Last but not least, visitors can view the fabulous Lucille Ball exhibition that is housed at the Museum -- a full floor of movie posters, scripts, photos, awards, jewelry, etc. It is the largest Lucy collection on display outside of the Lucy-Desi Center in Jamestown, New York! Not to be missed!

Tickets are priced at $60 each for the full day of events, but can be purchased by our readers via the Brown Paper Tickets web site for only $45! When you start to purchase tickets, simply type the word "Friends" in the "discount code" box! Here is the link:

The Paley Center Loves Lucy

Also in Los Angeles, or, more correctly, Beverly Hills, the Paley Center will be celebrating Lucy with two events in early December. The first, scheduled for Monday, December 5, will spotlight Lucy's 1966 special, "Lucy in London," which will be released the following day by CBS Home Entertainment as part of their release of "The Lucy Show: The Official Fifth Season."

The Paley evening will include a special High Def screening of both the original special and a new documentary, "Lucy in London Revisited" (also included on the new DVDs). "Lucy in London" producer-director Steve Binder and co-writer Ron Friedman will be among the special guests.

For ticket information, visit the Paley Center web-site at:

A few nights later, on Friday, December 9, the Center is saluting "Tropicana Nights: the Music of 'I Love Lucy'." Special guests will include Lucie Arnaz and Desi Arnaz, Jr.

More Lucy updates will be posted soon!

Many thanks...
