Kaye Ballard in "Palm Springs Follies"
Actress-comedienne Kaye Ballard, beloved to many Lucyfans for her portrayal of Kaye Buell in Desi Arnaz's final TV series, "The Mothers-in-Law," will appear in this year's staging of "The Fabulous Palm Springs Follies."
The theme for this year's production is "Tin Pan Alley."
Ms. Ballard is scheduled to appear in the show October 30th through December 31, 2007.

"Make Room for Daddy" DVDs due January 22
S'more Entertainment will release a 6th season set of "Make Room for Daddy" DVDs on January 22, 2008. Included in the package are all 32 episodes of the 1958-59 season, including the show in which Lucy and Desi appeared as Lucy and Ricky Ricardo.
These programs are reportedly "complete" and transferred from the original broadcast footage.
Also included in the set is a 12-minute blooper reel, and new interviews with cast members Marjorie Lord, Angela Cartwright and Sid Melton.

"I Love Lucy Square" Ceremony November 15
A few weeks ago, we mentioned that the Los Angeles City Council had voted to rename the intersection of Melrose Avenue and Plymouth Boulevard near Paramount Studios "I Love Lucy Square," in honor of both Lucille Ball and restaurant owner Lucy Casada.
We now know that the official ceremony will take place on Thursday afternoon, November 15, at 4PM.
We will report any additional details as they become available.
Janet Waldo Joins Recreation of "Benny" Broadcast
Actress Janet Waldo -- who played Peggy Dawson in the famous "Young Fans" episode of "I Love Lucy" -- has joined the cast of Gregg Oppenheimer's upcoming recreation of "The Jack Benny Program."
As mentioned here previously, this special one-day-only 75th Anniversary recreation of the Benny show will be part of a special luncheon sponsored by SPERDVAC -- the Society to Preserve and Encourage Radio Drama, Variety and Comedy. It will be held Saturday, November 10, at the Sportsman's Lodge in Studio City, California, starting at 12 Noon. Tickets for the show (including lunch) are $25.
"The Jack Benny Program" will star impressionist Eddie Carroll starring as the Milwaukee Penny-pincher. Comedian-impressionist Chuck McCann will appear as Don Wilson, with three original Benny cast members -- Beverly Washburn, Stuffy Singer, and Shirley Mitchell -- being featured in the cast. Also appearing will be Dena Dietrich, Tommy Cook, Gloria McMillan, John Stephenson, and Don King.

They're Playing Her Song
Lucie Arnaz, Robert Klein, and conductor Marvin Hamlish will bring their "30th Anniversary" concert version of "They're Playing Our Song" to the San Diego Symphony for two nights, November 9th and 10th. Performances are at 8PM.
The two performers vocally recreate the songs from the Broadway show, and share stories about their award-winning work together back in the late 1970s.

Lucie Back at Birdland
Lucie Arnaz will perform at New York's Birdland jazz club -- for two nights only -- November 18 and 19, 2007. Appearing with her are two of her children, Katharine and Joe Luckinbill, with musical direction by Ron Abel.
The shows start at 7PM each night. Birdland is located at 315 West 44th Street -- in the heart of Manhattan's famed "theater district."
